The purpose of this course is to offer an overview of the most popular domain decomposition methods for partial differential equations (PDEs). The presentation focus on the definitions of these methods in terms both of PDEs and of the algebraic systems arising from their discretizations. We will give some numerical analysis of convergence of these methods and some details of their implementations.
